[PR] MPD’s Weekly Firearm Recoveries: June 8, 2020 to June 15, 2020

(Washington, DC) – Every day, the Metropolitan Police Department works to recover and investigate illegal firearms in Washington D.C. In addition to our patrol officers, the Department has specialized units—such as the Gun Recovery Unit (GRU), Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU), and Crime Suppression Teams (CSTs)—who work tirelessly to safely and respectfully secure illegal firearms and get them off of our streets. From Monday, June 8, 2020, through Monday, June 15, 2020, MPD detectives and officers recovered 34 firearms in the District of Columbia.

  • An Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 .223 caliber rifle and an AR-15 .223 caliber “Ghost Gun” assault rifle were recovered in the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast. The following people were arrested: 30-year-old William Henry Holeman, of Southeast, D.C., 26-year-old Imani Neal, of Southeast, D.C., 51-year-old Michael Lloyd Jackson, of Southeast, D.C., and 22-year-old Malik Jackson, of Riverdale, MD, for Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. CCN: 20-085-587

  • A Ruger LC-9S 9mm caliber handgun, a Sig Sauer P250 .45 caliber handgun, and a Springfield Armory XD-45 .45 caliber handgun were recovered in the 1400 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest. The following people were arrested: 37-year-old Joshua Heaton, of Clear Spring, MD, and 31-year-old Aaron Wayne David, of Clear Spring, MD, for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana while Armed, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Carrying a Pistol without a License. CCN: 20-085-703

  • A Smith & Wesson SD40VE .40 caliber handgun was recovered at 1700 block of 16th Street, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 26-year-old Andrew Jamal Shuff, of Southeast, D.C., for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, Felon in Possession, and Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device. CCN: 20-085-777

  • A Ruger P89 9mm caliber handgun, a .40 caliber “Ghost Gun” handgun, a Glock 48 9mm caliber handgun, a .40 caliber “Ghost Gun” handgun, a Taurus G2c 9mm caliber handgun, a Smith & Wesson 4506 .45 caliber handgun, and a Standard Arms 9mm caliber handgun (all pictured below) were recovered in the 300 block of 50th Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-086-112
