[PR] Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 900 b/o Wahler Place, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District announced that an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, January 17, 2020, in the 900 block of Wahler Place, Southeast.
At approximately 12:08 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered that two juvenile male victims had sought treatment at an area hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Additionally, a dog was located inside of the residence with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The dog was transported to a veterinarian hospital for treatment. Investigation at the scene revealed that this offense was the result of a dispute between known parties. The victims and the dog were inside of the residence when multiple shots were fired from the outside.
On Friday, January 17, 2020, 18 year-old Robert Brown, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
