Operating Status Change to Keep Employees Safe, Reduce Exposure and Transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and Ensure Seamless Delivery of Legal Services for D.C. Residents
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today announced that the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) will shift its operating status to telework during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency. Effective March 13 through April 1, 2020, OAG has started a telework schedule for all employees whose responsibilities can be met electronically. All OAG offices will remain available via email and phone. Only essential personnel, including those who have a scheduled court appearance that has not been postponed, or whose critically important work cannot be performed remotely, will continue to come into the office. OAG is taking this precautionary step to ensure the health and safety of OAG employees and to ensure the office continues providing top-quality legal services to the District and its residents. OAG will continue to work closely with the Executive and the Council of the District of Columbia to respond effectively and efficiently to this public health emergency. Find D.C.
