Within today’s society, safe spaces for people to convene and release pressures experienced from racial tensions are far and few in between. Although this reality proves true across many racial groups, Chakra Healing for The Culture: A Meditation and Discussions Based Wellness Workshop for Blaxk Folx is a meetup group designed with the intention of holding a safe space for black and brown folk to gather, heal, and partake in group discussions centered around topics that address common issues related to racial stress black people experience while navigating within today’s society, with a special focus on Chakra balancing.

Chakra Healing for The Culture is a workshop series. With that being said, although each session is designed to be beneficial to participants who choose to come to only a few meet-ups, in effort to maximize experience and knowledge gained, participants are encouraged to attend every session as each session is also designed to build off each other in subtle yet unique ways. Another benefit to attending each session is to not only allot adaquate time to vent, but to vent productively, as the goal is to also find lightness from release through the art of reflection and conversation, and to experience love, peace, acceptance, and empowerment through group guided meditations.

(Note: Discussions are influenced by, but not limited to, the needs of participants, several scholarly research findings via professional studies on diversity and diversity trainings, as well as published articles and popular op-eds. Meditations and affirmations are influenced by, but not limited to, several spiritual practices spanning from the teachings of Reiki, Buddhism, Pantanjali's Yoga Sutras, and more.)
