News Literacy Project seeks Community Manager - $60k to $65k

The News Literacy Project (NLP) is seeking a community manager to help drive the strategy that will create a nationwide professional community of over 20,000 news literacy educators. There is intense public interest in NLP’s work, and we are experiencing tremendous growth. This is a great opportunity for you to help build and sustain our growing community of educators across the country.

The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of the following:

·        Experience in grassroots organizing or campaign management.

·        Community engagement experience through both in-person efforts and virtual community-building.

·        Experience in public education settings, by working as a teacher or with teachers in some capacity.

·        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The right person will have a strong passion for our mission, be unafraid to think outside the box to advance NLP’s brand and be able to maintain a sense of fun while working well both independently and collaboratively.

This position reports to the vice president, educator network.
