Position Summary: The Chief of Staff is responsible for effective and efficient management of the office of the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  This position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for implementing initiatives to increase strategic and operational efficiency.  The Chief of Staff will be the lead on developing and monitoring MT’s strategic plan.  Other responsibilities include cross-departmental project management, developing and maintaining knowledge-management systems, and implementing best practices or organization-wide projects and initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key advisor to the CEO; assists the CEO in facilitating effective decision making; 

  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and monitor MT’s strategic plan implementation; provides quarterly metrics, and ensures milestones are being reached;

  • Monitors information flow: acts as connector, ensuring CEOs involvement in a project and/or decision- making process is at the right time; assesses inquiries directed to CEO, determines the proper course of action and delegates to the appropriate individual or department to manage;

  • Strategically manages CEOs priorities; assesses and maintains, evaluates opportunities, and helps determine fitDevelops a strategy and system for relationship management across the org; coordinates relationship management; maintains database of contacts; 

  • Serves as board liaison to the board of directors; serves as corporate secretary and ensures board actions and recommendations are fully executed; and

  • Manages the Learning, Evaluation and Research (LER) team.
