March 25 | #TakeTimeThursday: Black HERStory Yoga
Thursday, March 25 | 2:30 – 3pm
Join Jessica L. Nichols as she presents Black HERstory Yoga, which celebrates Black Girl Magic as inspiration for a Chakra-centered Yoga Practice. The session celebrates the glory, wisdom, art, leadership, and beauty of historical Black women through the practice of yoga! Nichols will connect key historical figures with chakras in the body. This will allow participants to turn inward to discover their own strengths and weaknesses and intentionally seek to find balance.
Cicely Tyson – Root
Eartha Kitt – Sacral
Toni Morrison - Solar Plexus
Billie Holiday - Heart
Fannie Lou Hamer - Throat
