Position Overview:
The Human Resources Director role is a unique opportunity for an individual who is interested in developing the HR function in a growing education non-profit organization. The HR Director will be responsible for developing a great HR function that serves the needs and delivers extraordinary service to all employees. The HR Director will therefore be an individual who embraces continuous improvement and innovation, is detail-oriented, and relishes the challenge of finding ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
The HR will report to the Managing Director of Talent, manage two Associate Directors of HR, and oversee junior HR staff. The Director will oversee the HR generalist team and the HR benefits team while working closely and collaboratively with teachers, school leadership and the KIPP DC Recruiting and Finance Teams. The Director will work closely with the Director of Employee Experience to support employee issues, terminations, and investigations.
