ADVISORY FOR 8/24: Thousands of Volunteers to Help Spruce Up DCPS Schools on 9th Annual Beautification Day

 

WHAT:          On Saturday, August 24, more than 4,000 volunteers will help spruce up, clean up and organize nearly 100 District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) in preparation for the first day of school. The ninth annual DCPS Beautification Day will gather together volunteers all across the city, including DCPS families, students, and teachers, as well as participants from local companies and organizations, elected officials, clergy, and athletes. Projects include cleaning, painting, landscaping and organizing classroom and library materials.
