'Metergate' Featured In This Morning's Loose Lips Column
Many thanks to my friends over at the Washington City Paper for continuing to pick up on my outrage post about the the "new" (but not really) parking meters in Anacostia. East of the River appreciates the support and coverage.
In related news, ANC 8A Commissioner Greta Fuller has been in contact with DDOT Director Terry Bellamy regarding thepiss poor quality of the meters that were installed. She has also inquired about DDOT's process of not informing the community and the ANC that meters were being considered for Anacostia. According to Commissioner Fuller, Director Bellemy says he is looking into the matter.
