Bringing photography (and laughter) from Northern Ireland.
Tomorrow, October 5th from 5pm - 7pm ARCH Development Corporation, a nonprofit with over twenty years working in Anacostia,  is hosting a low-key mixer to introduce Anacostia and the Arts community to their new artists in residence, Mark Doxey, Paddy Kelly, and Jane Butler.  Mark, Paddy and Kelly are photographers from Northern Ireland and will be working in and around Anacostia for the next six weeks. They will be transforming Blank Space SE into their art studios for September and October. Please stop by to say "Hello!" Starting the first day of FotoweekDC, November 4, 2011, the photographers will have an exhibit at Blank Space SE to share with Anacostia and the DC arts community.

Having a good time in Anacostia.
If you get a chance, please come down to Honfleur Gallery tomorow and meet our new Northern Ireland friends, Mark, Paddy, and Jane. Let's do our best to make them feel welcome!

About the ARCH Residency Program
ARCH Artist in Residency Program is an opportunity for artist to pursue thoroughly their creative project amid DC’s vibrant and diverse urban environment. Each artist will work closely the creative staff at Honfleur Gallery and The Gallery at Vivid Solutions to determine the parameters of the residency and needs of the artist in advance of their arrival. These parameters will focus primarily on the details of the artists’ project, but are also about how to best connect to the local community, foster dynamic interaction and develop exposure to the resources of the greater DC cultural community.
