Video: Tonight's Anacostia Public Art Installation Meeting
The Advoc8te attended tonight's DHCD meeting with the Arts Council to discuss the Anacostia Public Art project that is slated for the corner of MLK & Good Hope Rd SE. There was a total of three Ward 8 residents in attendance. -- myself, Mr. Bunn, and one of the artists applying for the project.
We have to do better.
Luckily for you (and to the consternation of at least one DHCD employee) I recorded tonight's meeting. Warning, you may need to wear earphones to hear all the audio, the mic on an iPhone isn't very strong. I highly recommend watching the whole thing, especailly as it relates to artist selection and the timetable. (short version: there was and will be no artist call)
