MPD Statement On The Murder Of Mohammed Muktar Abduselam
As The Advoc8te was driving by the still closed King Gas this morning, the crime scene tape was still up and she saw two gas station employees on the property. I am sure the entire Congress Heights' community is keeping Mr. Abduselam's family in their thoughts and prayers. The Washington Post has a done a brief write up about Mr. Abduselam.
These senseless acts are a cancer on the Congress Heights and DC community. I haven't heard talk of a vigil or community meeting in response to Monday's events but there should be. FYI - The gas station is located in Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C. The Advoc8te asks anyone with any information on this crime to please contact the police immediately. Information on how to do that is posted below.
