Evidence Seizures at King Gas Station and Liberty Service Station

Greetings All-
On today’s date, Seventh District Officers conducted a vending inspection at the King Gas Station at 2919 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast.  The inspection revealed 203 packs of apparently untaxed cigarettes, 15 bags containing small plastic zips, 12 chore boys (copper netting), and 13 electric scales disguised as compact disc cases and/or cell phones.  Violation Citations were issued and the aforementioned items were seized as Evidence as the investigation continues.

Furthermore, on March 7, 2011, Seventh District Officers conducted a business inspection of the Liberty Service Station at 3900 Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Southwest.  During the course of the business check, officers seized approximately 147 bags of K2, 7 jars of Spice, 22 ceramic cigarettes, 510 glass roses and 123 apparently untaxed cigarette packets.  Violation Citations were issued and the aforementioned items were seized as Evidence as this investigation continues as well.  As the Seventh District remains committed to reducing crime and violence in our communities, we will strive to be proactive in the prevention of crime as we aggressively patrol our communities with vigilance and dedication to duty.
