The "I am Ward 8" All Stars. Meet the people of "Southeast".
This was a post first appeared in October 2010 but I wanted to take the opportunity to recap our wonderful "I am Ward 8" honorees. One day (I promise) I will get back to doing these again. It is one of my favorite things about writing CHotR. -- The Advoc8te
I know, it has been a while since I posted a new "I am Ward 8" profile. No one is more disappointed than me. The downside to running so many blogs (I am managing about four now), writing for other publications, and starting a business is that I don't have the time I once did to do all the great things I really love to do. I really love the "I am Ward 8" profiles and can't wait to start that back up on the blog. I really did have a great subject for August (think "Fine East of the River Living") but I couldn't find the pics, then when I found the pics couldn't find the interview (this is the life of a blogger). I am working on it, hopefully will have it for January 2011 (fingers crossed). Anyhow, back to the profiles. Too often all we see about "Southeast" (which is really three quadrants) is the negative. Those unfamiliar with the area are ignorant (really no better word for it) of the many positive and diverse things the community has to offer and outsiders aren't aware of the good people that live in our neighborhoods. I have never met so many talented, dedicated, and focused people in my life, even in college I never met this many leaders concentrated in one place. I am so happy and privileged to have had an opportunity to feature just a few of the many smiling faces that call Ward 8 home.
Therefore, I am pleased to (re)present our past "I am Ward 8" profiles. Enjoy.
