CBS Early Show to Spotlight Anacostia River Early This Morning - Need Your Help!
Greetings from the Anacostia Watershed Society!
Calling all DC area residents!! The CBS Early Show will be highlighting Earth Day and the Anacostia River on their show tomorrow morning and we need your help! They will be shooting six segments between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and have asked for our help to draw a huge crowd-- the bigger the better! So, grab all of your friends and join AWS, the Sierra Club and Earth Conservation Corps at the pump house at Poplar Point in Anacostia Park across the river from the Nationals Stadium anytime between 7 and 9! Shuttles will be running from the Anacostia Metro station (green line) to the meeting point in Anacostia Park starting at 6:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity to bring the Anacostia River into the national spotlight, so we'd really appreciate your support!
