CONGRESS HEIGHTS COMMUNITY GARDEN! Let's do it!

This email just came over on the Congress Heights on the Rise Community Connection. It is such a W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L idea! If you are interested please contact Ms. Woodland. It sounds like such a great thing to do with local kids -give them pride in our community and who doesn't love a garden?

I have a suggestion for a great place to have a garden - Shepherd Park! The park is in dire need of a green thumb and it would be a wonderful place to start. It's so visible and really could become a catalyst for transforming the park back to a place for families and children to enjoy.

Congress Heights community....

I live in the area, and am a Master Gardener. I
am interested in setting up a community garden project in Congress Heights; a
community garden, perhaps a couple of micro-enterprise garden projects for
youth, assistance for organizations to improve their public space as well as
ways to increase community support for our community market. I
