[PR] Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

  • On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, 19 year-old Cortez Smith, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense which occurred on Thursday, December 12, 2019, in the 400 block of 51st Street, Northeast. CCN 19-221-700

    • At approximately 10:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property. The victim complied and the suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. 

  • On Thursday, December 19, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense which occurred on Friday, September 27, 2019, in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. CCN 19-172-671

    • At approximately 8:04 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects grabbed the victim and the remaining suspects took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
