June 25 - Oct 16 | Capoeira Angola Summer Series for Kids and Adults
This popular class is back! Clarice Manning is a Ward 7 resident who would like to share Capoeira with the Ward 7 community. Students will learn the movements, how to play instruments played to capoeira, and a couple of songs. All the songs are in Portuguese, so you'll learn a bit of that too.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines defense movements with dance, music, and rhythms. Experience an art that builds strength, focus, and self-confidence through self-expression.
All participants will learn the basics of the movements and music of this unique fight dance martial art.
