The Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) Trail Ranger team is looking for five passionate trail champions to serve the trail users and trails of DC. Want a job that is completely different every day working outside on a collaborative team? Some days it is all about trash removal and other immediate tasks, and other days it is figuring out the best strategy for event outreach or what could make the Trail Ranger program better.

Trail Rangers are responsible for day-to-day program operations - trail maintenance reporting, trash, vegetation & glass removal, running cleanups and trail events, and trail presence. We’re looking for candidates that thrive in a team-collaboration environment focused on prioritization and creative problem-solving, want to make Marvin Gaye, Suitland Parkway, Anacostia River and Metropolitan Branch trails better for their neighbors, and want a part-time job from mid-April to end of September. Pay is $16/hour for new Trail Rangers with an average of 20 hrs/week. Both weekday and weekend work is required though we prioritize thoughtful scheduling to help employees balance other work and life obligations. Applications are due by March 3rd.
