The Arc of DC seeks Employment Services Manager
The Arc of the District of Columbia seeks an Employment Services Manager to manage and support The Arc of DC’s employment programs. The Arc of DC supports the employment needs of youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Manager will help clients discover and increase their skills and knowledge in order to secure competitive and inclusive employment opportunities. The successful manager will be a self-starter with a background in managing programs and growing and nurturing them to new successes. The manager will be dedicated to our mission and looking to make a difference in the lives of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. This is a fulltime position reporting to the Executive Director.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all reporting related to DC government vendor contracts (RSA and Medicaid Waiver Services)
Serve as a resource and back-up at both the warehouse and AbilityOne locations (APHIS)
Respond to contract officers’ questions and concerns as needed
Serve as a back-up to the Executive Director when needed.
Develop and nurture partnerships with new and current employers
Establish long term relationships with external stakeholders such as DDS
Provide on-the-job training and support, in-house trainings and social and behavioral guidance to individuals being served
Facilitate communication between individuals and employers
Assist individuals with locating, applying for, and interviewing for job opportunities
Assess individuals for job related abilities and interests
Complete weekly and monthly reporting and billing
Attend required trainings and meetings
Assist with business development and fundraising and outreach efforts
Other duties as assigned
