Temporary Lane Closures for Routine Maintenance through February 24, 2023

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT)will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities through February 24, 2023, weather permitting.

Operation hours and locations are listed below:

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D and E to/from Rte 110- BR.1200- Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D & E to/from Rte 110- partial ramp closures needed for both Eastbound Ramp C and Westbound Ramp D and E. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Ramp will remain open to traffic but will be partially closed to facilitate work underneath the ramps. Partial ramp closures will be between the hours of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

Minnesota Avenue over East Capitol Street- BR.0040, single lane closures needed on Minnesota Avenue.  Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

SB I-395/ 14th Street over Potomac River- BR.1133, single lane closures needed on 14thStreet for emergency repairs. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

L’Enfant Plaza over D Street, SW- BR.1114, single lane closures needed on L’Enfant Plaza. L’Enfant exit ramp will be closed to facilitate work underneath the ramp and detour will be in place. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

Pennsylvania Avenue over Anacostia River- BR.0054, single lane closures needed on Pennsylvania Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting on. Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

Chain Bridge Road over Potomac River and C & O Canal- BR.0001, single lane closures needed on Chain Bridge Road. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, February 13 through Friday, February 24, 2023.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
