Fresh off the heels of presenting “Life Lines” during this year’s 2018 Page-to-Stage New Play Festival at The Kennedy Center, Brave Soul Collective (BSC) returns with “Safeguards” — a new evening of theatrical performances in honor of National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2018 (#NGMHAAD) & the 2018 We Will Be Heard National Day of Action (#WeWillBeHeard2018).

Touching on a host of hot button issues including HIV/AIDS, family, sex, dating & relationships, substance abuse, mental health, harm reduction & much more, this special one-night-only engagement features a series of dramatic & comedic monologues, short scenes and staged readings of works which aim to entertain, educate, and inspire. “Safeguards”delivers BSC’s signature brand of thought-provoking theatre, followed by a lively Q&A exchange among audience members, the cast and artists involved with the production.

Supported in part by Counter Narrative Project, & Whitman Walker Health, this evening of theatrical performances is dedicated to empowering and affirming the lives of Black LGBTQ people and their allies.
