The College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), is excited to host a P.R. Harris Urban Food Hub Work Day. Join the P.R. Harris Community Garden Club for a day of volunteering. Volunteers will empty existing garden beds to prepare for the Spring 2020 growing season at the Ward 8 community garden.

The P.R. Harris Food Hub is located next to the P.R. Harris Community College site. The food hub is built on an old tennis court with grants from the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) and Anacostia Economic Development Corporation (AEDC). The food hub has two greenhouses that house hydroponic and aquaponic systems. This location offers garden beds that are cultivated and managed by a Community Garden Committee. The food hub is located next to Oxon Run Park, which has a playground and picnic space.
