Seeq Corporation seeks FT Marketing Events Planner (Remote)

Seeq Corporation is seeking a Marketing Events Planner with at least 2-4 years of marketing event planning experience in a B2B environment, preferably in the industrial sectors. You will be researching, coordinating and managing all marketing events. The ideal candidate has a passion for events, as well as general experience and knowledge of the dynamics of trade shows, industry events, and conferences.

The main responsibilities for this role will be to plan and manage all the activities associated with marketing events from initial research and event planning to execution and post-mortem. The selected candidate will be extremely energetic and self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude who enjoys new challenges, is a self-starter and wishes to be part of a results-oriented team. You must have strong communication and organization skills, an exemplary ability to follow deadlines, and a proven track record of successful events. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand and set goals for the event

  • Communicate with external event hosts, venues, and vendors as required

  • Maintain events calendar with accurate and updated information (Confluence)

  • Develop an event plan and corresponding task list through project management tool (Teamwork)

  • Compile information needed to complete exhibitor applications or contracts and organize event files to be stored in shared company file system

  • Store event materials and supplies and monitor materials and inventory to reorder items as needed

  • Schedule and host planning meetings with event stakeholders, ensure attendees are confirmed and registered for events, and provide information on event details, travel, and logistics

  • Plan for corresponding event activities that align each event with internal team (hosted meetings, giveaways, pre-event communications, attendee networking activities, etc.)

  • Keep a calendar of speaking opportunities and calls-for-papers and work with internal teams to source speakers

  • Explore and become familiar with exhibitor portals, track and adhere to exhibitor deadlines, select company booth position, and complete company profiles

  • Order services for events including A/V services, material handling, lead retrieval, electricity, internet, carpet/padding, furnishings, labor, and other materials

  • Prepare and ship required event material, including providing the on-site team with outbound shipment coordination

  • Organize on-site schedules for staff as needed

  • Collect event images from onsite team and distribute to marketing for social media 

  • Provide attendee/lead list review/categorization after event and upload lists to CRM (Salesforce) or send to sales team and provide confirmation via email to stakeholders

  • Send thank you notes and gifts to speakers when appropriate

  • Conduct post-event debrief including event summary report, tracking event cost, and ROI
