PT or FT Policy & Communications Paid Internship
Center Road Solutions is seeking full or part-time policy and communications interns to assist our federal government relations activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide client/Congressional facing services and materials to advance nonprofit policy in health and school security. The position is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the federal government relations and policymaking process.

Job Responsibilities: The policy and communications/partnership development interns, who are based at our Washington, DC office in NoMa, reports to our Senior Director and Managing Principal, and is responsible for the following:
Attending Congressional markups, briefings, and coalition meetings, providing synthesized summaries of the discussion topics for clients
Researching federal policy, academic research, and legislation
Assisting in project and event management including hosting 3 Congressional Briefings and 1 Advocacy Fly-in Days
Developing partnerships with other organizations to support pending legislation
Advocating with Congressional staff and partners to support new federal legislation
Assisting with communications materials such as infographics and social media posting
