[PR] Suspect Sought in a Homicide: 700 b/o Monroe Street, NE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to a homicide that occurred on Friday, February 28, 2020, in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Northeast.
At approximately 8:52 am, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 21 year-old De’mari Twyman, of Oxon Hill, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
