[PR] Homicide: 3400 Block of 22nd Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, Southeast. 

At approximately 10:14 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. 

The decedent has been identified as 25 year-old Lamont Johnson, of Northeast, DC. 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
