[PR] Homicide: 2000 Block of 19th Place, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, January 4, 2020, in the 2000 block of 19th Place, Southeast.

At approximately 3:33 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside of a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the adult male victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.  Investigation at the scene suggested the shooting occurred inside of the residence. 

The decedent has been identified as 60 year-old Charles Robinson, of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
