[PR] Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 100 b/o Galveston Street, SW

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2019, in the 100 block of Galveston Street, Southwest.

At approximately 7:50 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

Friday, September 13, 2019, 21-year-old David Tirrell Cunningham, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
