Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in the 5200 block of Astor Place, Southeast.

At approximately 8:54 pm, the suspect brandished a handgun and fired shots at the victim while at the listed location. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. 

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, 20 year-old Eric Domonic Bigesby, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
