[PR] Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 4500 b/o Benning Road, SE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, November 18, 2019, in the 4500 block Benning Road, Southeast.                                                                                               

At approximately 8:41 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday, February 3, 2020, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 21 year-old Jamonte Jeter, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
