Paid Graphic Design/Communications Internship

The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) is accepting applications for a Graphic Design/Communications Intern to begin in July or August and to continue through early to mid-December. Interns are highly valued and fully integrated into our staff work. We seek students passionate about social justice issues, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

This is a combination Graphic Design/Communications Internship position, where the intern will design projects such as social media images, posters, and factsheets; produce videos for the upcoming Annual Forum and Leadership Reception; and update content on the NLIHC website. The intern will also will prepare and distribute press materials, assist with media research and outreach for publication releases, work on social media projects, and maintain a media database and tracks press hits. Graphic design and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) experience needed. Applicants MUST provide 3 design samples (or link to online portfolio) in addition to a writing sample in order to be considered for this position.

Interns are expected to work 25 hours a week. Two semester placements are possible. NLIHC provides modest stipends and flexible working hours for interns that are taking classes.
