Health Equity Conversation: What if DC were a Medicare for All Sanctuary City?
On Wednesday, October 16th from 6 to 8PM, we will host a conversation about health equity in DC.
Did you know that the ward you live in, in DC could determine your life expectance?
Did you know that Black women and their embryos and babies are more likely to die than White women who of equal stature?
Did you know that when there is a health crisis - need or emergency medical attention - the patient has to be moved from east of the river to the other side of DC for care? Did you know that patients have died during transport in an ambulance?
As a community, we have a right to share our story and put forth a policy solution. Come join us as we begin our push for DC to become a sanctuary city.
