Oct 14 | Deadline to apply for $10,000 Comcast RISE Grant
👩🏽💻 NOTE FROM THE ADVOC8TE — There was an issue with the initial eligibility checklist for this grant, but after I reached out to the District for clarity, it looks like Comcast updated the requirements. Sole proprietors can now apply without having to have a W-2 employee. See below, and please spread the word to small business owners of color in the District who may have tried to apply earlier and thought they were ineligible.
Through October 14th, eligible small businesses owned by people of color in Washington, D.C. can apply for one of 100 $10K grants!
Qualifying businesses may apply for the Comcast RISE Investment Fund.
GRANT DETAILS:
600 grants totaling $6 million will be distributed as follows:
100 small businesses in each city
Each business will receive a $10,000 monetary grant
Application period is October 1-14, 2021.
Grants will be announced at the end of November 2021 and awarded in December 2021.
