Nubian Hueman celebrates 5th anniversary with week of rockin' events

The Advoc8te feels old, really old. It seems like just yesterday I met Anika Hobbs, owner of Nubian Hueman when she was working on building out her space in the newly christened, Anacostia Arts Center (formerly the ARCH Training Center) where I was working at the time. Anika is FIERCE, it's not surprise she is such a successful woman. 

In five short years, Nubian Hueman has doubled their footprint, won numerous awards and honors and has become THE place to go for the hippest, hottest and most on-trend and socially aware gear in the city. Nubian Hueman also hosts the best annual event to feature businesses and entrepreneurs of color, The Black Love Experience. 

I couldn't be happier for Nubian Hueman and their entire team as they celebrate this milestone moment. It takes a lot to stay in the game (don't I know it), they have made it look easy although I know they work really, really hard.
