🌟 ART IN ANACOSTIA | Stephanie Garon’s Breaking Ground now at Honfleur Gallery [SP]

Breaking Ground explores humanity’s connection to nature. Using a gallery-wide immersive installation of loblolly pine needles, Garon’s environmental artworks emphasize the fragility of nature through ecologically motivated interventions. Whether the viewer navigates their movements through the installation or reflects on the sculptural decomposition of natural materials, the contemplative space explores how we, as people, engage the natural world around us. Her environmental artwork has been exhibited internationally in London, Columbia, and South Korea, as well as across the United States.

Breaking Ground opened on April 9th 2021 and closes on May 22, 2021.
