The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA, www.domesticworkers.org) is the nation’s leading voice for respect, recognition and labor standards for domestic workers. Through leadership development, strategic campaigns and alliance building, we seek to help build a powerful movement for social and global justice. The Alliance formed in 2007 at the US Social Forum and currently represents over 60 affiliates in more than 30 cities. Since then, NDWA’s staff leadership has played key roles in national intersectional movements centering women’s rights, immigrant rights, and racial justice. In the last several years, the organization and its members have appeared in a wide variety of media outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Buzzfeed, Vox, InStyle, and many others.
As the organization enters a new decade of rapid expansion and response to the needs of domestic workers across the country, it is engaging in a multi-phase rebranding process that will ensure the brand’s clarity of purpose going forward. NDWA seeks an junior Graphic Designer to join the team implementing the organization’s visual storytelling strategy. The Graphic Designer will help the organization lift up the voices of domestic workers and tell our story in clear, concise, and beautiful visual language and ensure brand unity across multiple departments and affiliate organizations. The Graphic Designer will report to NDWA’s Design Director, and is part of the Communications team.
