Metropolitan Police Department Officer Arrested for First Degree Child Sex Abuse Offense in the District

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division investigated allegations of First Degree Child Sex Abuse involving an MPD officer that occurred in the District of Columbia.

Between January 2020 and September 2021, the suspect allegedly sexually abused a known juvenile female victim on multiple occasions in Washington, DC.

On Thursday, July 14, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28-year-old Charles Johnson II, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Child Sex Abuse. He has been a sworn member with the Department since 2019 and was assigned to the First District. His police powers have been revoked and the member has been placed on administrative leave.
