Small business development is a lot like training for a marathon - it takes hard work and dedication. They work day in and day out to make their dreams a reality. We invite DC's entrepreneurs and small business owners to celebrate their gains with us. We’re closing out Small Business week at the Anacostia Arts Center with a triple hitter. We’re opening up The HIVE 2.0, Ward 8’s only co-working space, for a co-working day in late the Nipsy Hustle's honor. Entrepreneurs and creatives of every variety are invited to bring their projects and experience our space. Donna Omoregie, financial guru and tech startup founder, will be part of an entrepreneur's roundtable on tech and financial planning. We encourage attendees to come prepared to take notes. We’ll complete our day with an open house featuring Mahogany Books, The Freshh Factory, Nubian Hueman, and Vintage and Charmed. Keli Hammond, writer and two-time award-winning marketing expert, will be the leading a talk on marketing and branding in Mahogany Books in the afternoon. Light refreshments will be served.
