At Martha’s Table, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity for his or her brightest future and a family and community deeply committed to their success. The organization values a “roll up your sleeves attitude” and a “joy in the day and joy in the work” approach in an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We believe in the power of community – a strong community.  For over 37 years, we have offered a continuum of support — through which we offer access to healthy food and quality education — to strengthen the lives of children and their families, and build stronger, healthier communities.  Through our Healthy Start program, we provide nationally accredited, high-quality early education programming and the health and life supports to ensure a great start for children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age.

Our Family Engagement Specialist is an essential member of the Parent Engagement and Education team. He/she will improve parent engagement and student success by coordinating family case management, including home visits and external referrals to social services; identifying and addressing challenges to parent engagement in their child’s education; and supporting parents/caregivers in creating a nurturing, supportive learning environment and advocating for their children in any school setting. Our Family Support Worker will identify and establish community partnerships and resources (organizations or programs) that meet family needs and create/oversee data collection for parent/family programming.
