Bring your nature poetry and win a $250 open mic prize judged by featuring poets E. Ethelbert Miller and Naomi Ayala.
This is a DC Poet Project event: select open mic readers, including the open mic winner, will be invited to compete in the culminating DC Poet Project event for a $1000 book contract. Only DC residents may compete to win at the final event.
This event is produced by Day Eight with the DC Public Library, Anacostia Coordinating Council, Anacostia Swim Club, and support from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
The 2021 DC Poet Project series is curated by Regie Cabico, and hosted by Aaron Holmes.
