HumanitiesDC is opening applications for their ongoing Humanities Vision Partnership Grant Program providing financial and capacity building resources for innovative interpretations of the humanities.
Formerly known as the Open Humanities Grant, the Vision Partnership Grant Program encourages applicants to share their unique perspectives on settled scholarship. HumanitiesDC’s Humanities Vision Grant has created space for ground breaking insight into the cultural tapestry of our Nation’s Capital. Past grant recipients include the National Building Museum for their Investigating Where We Live study and the Greater Washington Urban League for their exploration of Black Georgetown.
Applicants may request between $5,000 and $20,000 depending on the scope of their project which will be conducted from May 15th, 2019 to May 15th, 2020 and the application deadline is March 29th, 2019.
The work of our partners is integral in the preservation of Washington, DC’s rich culture and heritage. Through the illumination of these hidden stories and unique perspectives, we place the restorative power of the humanities into the hands of our neighbors.
