Aug 31 | International Overdose Awareness Day event at Marvin Gaye Park

In memory of those we’ve lost, and in celebration of those still with us, HIPS and The Chosen Few will be jointly hosting our annual International Overdose Awareness Day event on Monday, August 31st.

Join us virtually for a livestream (starting at 12pm) of HIPS staff and peers and members of the Chosen Few as we share stories of addiction, overdose, and recovery through HIPS’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/iloveHIPS

Additionally, we will be holding an outdoors, socially distanced event at Marvin Gaye Park (5200 Foote St. NE) from 12-4pm with ongoing events, including a cookout, meditation circle, HIV/HCV testing, Narcan training and distribution, and an information/resources table on drug use and overdose that all are welcome to attend (mask required, but we will have masks available for those who need them).
