June 30 | Deadline to apply for W8CIF

The Ward 8 Community Investment Fund (W8CIF) is a community-led, place-based funding opportunity offering “grants-secured loans” to Ward 8 resident entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Grant-secured loans are an innovative financial product developed by and for Black entrepreneurs in partnership with elected officials, DSLBD, and a small business-focused CDFI.

DCCDC is now accepting applications for the W8CIF Round II. The application will remain open until Sunday, June 30th, at 11:59 p.m.

Afterward, a Grant Review Committee (as nominated by Ward 8 community members) will select approximately 40-50 awardees, including the Youth Entrepreneurs Grantees, for roughly $800K in funding.
