June 15 | Sisterhood Supper Juneteenth Celebration in Ward 7

“JOIN US at the Sisterhood Supper located at the Farm at Kelly Miller (Dreaming Out Loud) at 301 49th Street, NE Washington, DC on Saturday, June, 15 2024 from 3-7pm.

This Juneteenth, we're reclaiming the power of sisterhood as medicine in our communities which kicks off WANDA Week which celebrates the contributions of Black women in the food system.

Join us for a beautiful farm event filled with fun, music, storytelling, cooking demos, and advocacy charge for a Food Bill of Rights.

We will honor local Black women as food sheroes and support the Food Shero Freedom Fund that fund college women in agriculture, nutrition in Africa and the Diaspora.

Share your story and recipes in the Sisterhood Community Cookbook with your family photos and recipes that honor mamas, aunties, and nanas because our story matters.

The first 100 registrants will get gift bags who take the pledge to host a Sisterhood Supper with their sisterfriends.

The event is free to attend. Free school and street parking is available. Bring your blankets. Chairs and tables will be available for those who need them. Trash bins and a porter potty are available.”
