Second Sunday Jazz, in partnership with East River Jazz presents: the Khalid Gray Unitet. Sunday July 8 from 3-5PM at the Anacostia Arts Center 1231 Good Hope Road SE
Khalid Gray was born in Washington, D.C. in 1996. He grew up in Southeast D.C. and graduated from Duke EllingtonSchool of the Arts in 2014. Khalid received his Bachelors in Jazz Studies from West Virginia University in May 2018.
Khalid has studied with the likes of Dupor Georges, Davey Yarborough, Isaac Daniel, and Dr. Jared Sims. With their guidance, he has had the opportunity to perform with Patti Labelle, The Three Mo Tenors, Ledisi, Sting, Paul Simon, Joel Frahm , and he most recently performed with Wycliffe Gordon and shared the stage with Wycliffe Gordon and His International All-Stars.
