 This position is outside of the collective bargaining unit.

The incumbent provides human resources support and advisory services to administrative, managerial, and supervisory personnel and serves as the primary contact for a designated group of employees within the agency. This position provides guidance and assistance in the development, submission, and processing of personnel actions via PeopleSoft. Serves as a primary contact for addressing recruitment, retention, and position management problems; leading the effort to implement HR solutions or improvements. Candidates must demonstrate discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality concerning personnel.

Incumbent also:

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on issues regarding leave, pay, and recruitment.

  • Conducts new hire orientation as required.

  • Assist in analyzing and resolving PeopleSoft issues.

  • Prepares the Comings and Goings report.

  • Ensures all new employee files are updated, in order, and accurate.

  • Counsels new and existing employees regarding benefit programs.

  • Maintains tracking reports concerning recruitment.

  • Prepares excel spreadsheets for several of the above

  • Performs other related duties assigned.
