JOB ALERT | Senior Manager of Finance - $60K to 75K/year

The Sr. Manager of Finance supports the day-to-day financial operations of Horton’s Kids and works with the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and Sr. Manager of Human Resources and Operations on operational, administrative, and information technology management functions.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, hard-working, detail-oriented, and customer service-focused. They will be interested in building an effective organizational financial infrastructure, communicating clearly with various audiences, and being motivated by Horton’s Kids’ mission and its core values of equity, commitment, connectedness, integrity, and compassion. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, at least three years of experience in non-profit financial management, and experience managing government grants. Experience using QuickBooks, automated accounts payable systems, the DC government vendor portal, and EGMS (Enterprise Grants Management System) is essential. This position requires strong communication skills (both oral and written), advanced Excel skills, and intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, works closely with the Sr. Manager of Human Resources and Operations and interacts daily with individuals across the entire organization.

Currently, Horton’s Kids administrative staff work remotely two days per week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday are mandatory days in the office at our facility at 2233 Hunter Place SE.
