Help youth achieve their dreams! At Teens Run DC, you will coach students in our running and life skills mentorship program. Great opportunity to make a big impact and play a key role in a growing nonprofit.
Program/Organizational Description
As service corps coach at Teens Run DC, you will improve the wellbeing of underserved youth by facilitating our physical activity and life skills program at a school or community site in Washington, DC. You will help middle/high school students set and achieve running and life goals. You will lead students in physical activity and teach valuable lessons about goal setting, reflection, self-awareness, and mindfulness.

TRDC’s in-school programming includes lunch clubs and elective classes where coaches lead 10-25 students in group exercise and games and teach life skills lessons. Afterschool programming includes run/walk clubs where coaches train groups of 15 students for races and fun runs. TRDC also leads and organizes fitness events at each school. Coaches receive the support of a welcoming and energetic team including the Program Manager, school staff, and other TRDC coaches and staff.
